Hello, Welcome, and bienvenue,
Here is a little about me: My name is Meredith Glass and I am a New York based performer, educator, and creator.
How did I start? I went to Long Island High School for the Arts as a Musical Theater major, and went on to study the same subject in college. After several years of learning and developing my skills, I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a degree in Directing, Performance and Musical Theater.
Though New York has been my home since the beginning (shout out to my fellow Long Islanders), I have been lucky enough to travel the world and see 9 different countries. I have traveled far and wide for work, so work and travel have become close friends in my world. While I have been performing professionally since I was a teenager, I have also found, during the same time, that I have a talent for working with and teaching children. As an adult I’ve combined these passions; I have spent the past three years teaching and singing with children with the JAM with Jamie company, spreading joy, learning, and music as a professional performer and teacher.
About my persona: I am a homebody with a passion for live music. My friends and I frequent our local Emo Night at BK’s The Knitting Factory. There’s nothing like lip syncing to Haley Williams on a stage and the whole crowd raving with you. Since Covid-19, I have come home to be with my family, work with young students on a private level, and participate in many Zoom readings and productions. With lots of hobby time spent on the ukulele, dyeing my hair a few colors/a few times, yoga, Zoom dance classes, reading poems, painting, puzzles, and a pup named Monty - I’ve learned that life is meant for joy and love. I believe that people should put that energy and understanding into every part of their lives.
